Celebrate 120 years of flight with a special Wright Brothers Award Ceremony during the Saturday evening banquet. Choose between 40 breakout sessions focusing on leadership through learning. Connect and reconnect with members from around the Commonwealth.

Schedule of Events:

Friday evening Commander's Welcome beginning at 1900, as well as a special Cadet Activity! Wear your favorite Christmas attire and join in some Reindeer Games with Col. Brian Schmuck, Kentucky Wing Commander... Cadets will depart for mini-golf and go carting at 2000. Bring a new, unwrapped toy to put under the tree and get an extra door prize drawing ticket!! Toys will go to the Marine's Toys for Tots Program. Cash bar.

Saturday morning Opening Session and awards followed by 40 breakout sessions focusing on Kentucky Wing activities, events, corporate, cultural and life skills information. Topics geared to cadets as well as senior members. Look for some exciting speakers!

Saturday evening formal banquet with Wright Brothers Ceremony, special awards, a little music and maybe some dancing. Cash bar.

Sunday morning Commander's Call for Squadron and Group Commanders as well as invited Wing Staff.

Silent Auction to benefit the David A. Kantor Memorial Scholarship Fund; hourly door prize drawings and information booths highlighting local universities with aviation/engineering programs, academies and recruiters.

Plenty of learning and social time with a few surprises!

KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Dan Patterson is an internationally recognized author and award winning photographer. He was awarded the Comb’s award, presented by the National Aviation Hall of Fame to honor his contribution to the preservation of America’s air and space heritage. Dan’s work has appeared in over 40 books, including the five part series Aviation Century, which he completed in 2007 with Air Vice Marshal Ron Dick, RAF (ret). He also co-authored American Eagles: A History of the United States Air Force and many other aviation history titles. He is a well known Wright Brothers historian and friend of the Wright Family. Dan is a Smithsonian lecturer and has made presentations on cruise ships for the Smithsonian. Some of Dan’s photographs are in the permanent collection at the National Portrait Gallery in London. He lives in Dayton, Ohio.
